Mt Fuji tour
It is said that best season to see Mt Fuji is in winter.

This picture was from Mt Kachi-Kachi near Lake Kawaguchi.
There are 5 lakes on foot of Mt Fuji.Lake Kawaguchi is the biggst lake in the 5 lakes and tourist resort thanks to hot spring.

There are 10th stations up to top of Mt Fuji.
We drove up to 5th station by car.
We could see Japan alps and Yatsugatake mountain range that are located in Nagano Prefecture.
Yatsugatake means that the Mountain has 8 peaks.

There are many snow on the way to 5th staions, You need a tire for snow, If you would like to go 5th stations.

One of the my guest have asked me where is Best Sushi shop in Tokyo during Tokyo City tour.
I told him that Kyubei is best in Tokyo,
He suddnly said that lets me take that Sushi shop and invite us.
Kyubei is hiding in the depths of Ginza. It is very difficult to find it.
We arrived to the shop at 11:45, Sushi shop was almost full.
But we find a rooms for us.


Boiled abalone.- Sushi master asked me size of rice, I was so surprised, I never know such as Sushi shop.


Fatty tuna,- most expensive one. Yammmmmmmmmmmmmy.


Spread Nori on a bamboo rolling mat, then spreadthe Sushi rice over it.
Place filling in the center.


So, We enjoyed a Sushi and skill of Sushi master. i didint ask a price, maybe 10,000 yen per person?

We are cerebrate a Christmas even our main religion are Buddhism
and Shintoism.
It was not National Holiday on 25th December.
I had an Mt Fuji tour with guests from Singapore.
I found a large Christmas tree in Akasaka area.

That was on the prince Hotel.

Japanese cuisine in winter

Oden
This is a stew cooked for hours in kelp broth and soy sauce.
Egges, Fried fish ball, Japanese radish, Kelp and fish-paste tube...


Tofu simmered in a kelp broth.Served with soy sauce and seasoning such as
green onion, ginger, yuzu orenge,etc.
Vegitables are sometime cook together.


Sukiyaki
A representative Japanese dish of made by cooking thinly sliced beef
with vegitables in the Sukiyaki iron pot.
The dish isserved with beaten raw egg.


we have various type of crab such as helmet crab, river crab, king crab so on...
The crab is one of the most expensive food in Japan. we inport a lot of crab
from Russia.

I am living in downtown area in Tokyo.
There are many old Japanese style houses and shops.
It is getting cold in Tokyo and we eat many kinds of Miso soup in winter.
Miso was introduced from China that is made from soy beans.

I went to a typical Japanese grocery store to buy Miso.
Various foods are selling in that shop such as soy-sauce, Tofu and Natto.

How do you eat a Miso?
Miso soup is the most popular example. In addition, Miso is used for seasoning various foods.

We went to a Yasukuni shrine and visited museum of war.
We saw a Zero-sen that is displayed at Entrance lobby.


Many young generations flew by zero-sen during war and crashed against battleships.
They didnt load enough gasoline for flight back to their home.
That was sad story...
They dedicated their life to Emperor.

There is beautiful garden behind the shrine.



Japanese garden, pond, carps...
The carps are very expensive and costly in Japan.

D-51 was displayed at entrance. - Steamed train-
Such steamed train is rare nowadays.

I had a walking tour with Malaysian guest.
We walked around Diet building and Yasukuni Shrine.
I met with our guest at Ginza station.
It was beautiful day, good day for walking.




Yasukuni Shrine.
Yasukuni shrine is dedicated to solders that were killed in war.
X prime minister Koizumi Junichiro went to pray for solders.
China and Korea had complained about prime minister visit.
Because, they are insisting that war was Japanese invasion of China and Korea.
Chinese and Korean were suffered by Japanese solder and that will be diplomatic problem between them.


National diet building.

The building has symmetric structure, with the house of Councilors on the right and House of Representatives on left.
The building was built in 1936 as center of Japanese politics.
The police mans are always checking around Diet Building against a terrorist?

After Tokyo tour
We went to Izakaya to eat a dinner and drink Sake with my guest.


I ordered a many thing to eat, salad, sashimi, tenpura, oden....
and Shochu with oolong tea.
My guest was surprised at alcohol with tea.
But it is common drink for us in Japan.


Shochu--Low class distilled spirits.
In contrast to Sake, which is brewed, Shochu is distilled liquor.
The row material are mainly wheat, rice, corn and sweet potatoes, and
The alcohol concentration is high at about 30 to 45%.
It is not as popular as Sake, but in Western Japan each region has its own
Shochu.
If you come to Japan, it is oblige to taste Shochu as well as Sake.

Tokyo tour at Asakusa
I went to suvenir shop wth my guest.

Manekineko are displayed in restaurants and shops in windows
or on shelves, to invited customers and money in.

Look at cat's hand, he or she is calling a customers,
come to eat,come to buy!

Shishimai- Lion dance
This is just decoration in house.
generally,Dance wih this ornamental thing at festival
that is called Shishimai.
