21/05: Karate show
We had a chance to show Karate demonstration for foreign travelers.
Karate, meaning empty hand in Japanese, is a form of unarmed combat in which a person
kicks or strikes with the hands, Karate developed around the 16C on the island of Okinawa.
A Japanese clan had conquered the island and passed strict law banning the ownership of weapons.
As a result, the Okinawa developed many of unarmed techniques of modern Karate.
