They are playing games with Nintendo DS on the street
using Sule-chigai Communication system
which they can play same game with their own game machines
even if they are not acquaintances.
Sule-chigai means passing each other.

Blythe is a doll created in 1972 by designer Allison Katzman in the USA
by toy company Kenner.
Her most distinctive and notable feature were eyes
that changed color with the pull of a string
attached to the back of her head.
Due to a lack of interest, Blythe dolls were only sold for one year.

The doll would only become popular some 27 years later
selling largely to adults.
Now, you can meet Blythe with various clothings and shoes
in Blythe Gallery at Water Front in Tokyo.

This is "Chinsuko", a traditional sweet often sold as a souvenir
on Okinawa, southeast islands in Japan.
It is a small biscuit made of mostly lard and flour,
with a mild and sweet flavor.
"Chinsuko" is said to have been introduced to Okinawa
some 400 years ago from China.
Now it is one of the most popular sweet souvenirs among Japanese.

Actually, this is illumination put on a huge ferris wheel
in Tokyo water front, called ODAIBA.

Hello-Kitty is a character produced by the Japanese company in 1974.
Since it is memorable of 35-years this year,
the ferris wheel is decorated with hello-kitty untill 23rd September 2009.

Akihabara is the famous "Electric town " in Japan.
Thousands of shops, from tiny booths to huge elecdtronics
department stores, sell all manner of electric appliances.

Also Akihabara is a major shopping area for anime and otaku goods.
Many shops sell a lot of plastic-models attracting middle-aged men...

Wind-bells are usually hung outside of a building or house
and are intended to be played by the wind.
Sound are supposed to make people cool during hot and Japanese summer.
