Nagano model plan
Venue of the 1998 Winter Olympics, Nagano was establish in the Kamakura period as a temple town.
In the Edo period, there was highway linked between Tokyo and Kyoto, Sections of the highway and post stations, towns which used to offer food and lodging to travelers, survive in the Kiso Valley of Nagano, Magome and Tsumago are the two most beautifully preserved post towns and are connected with each other.
