Tokushima

Naruto is located in Tokushima Prefecture and famous for the great whirlpools. You can see them from the observation deck, under the bridge and from a tourist boat.

Tokushima City is the capital of Tokushima Prefecture in Shikoku. The city’s main attraction is the Awa Odori. You can see the performance at Awa-odori Kaikan throughout the year. The Naruto Whirlpools are another attraction.

The Iya Valley region is a scenic area known for its dramatic mountain valleys and old vine bridges. Situated in the western part of Tokushima and nearly in the center of Shikoku, the Iya area is one of the large “hidden mountain regions” in Japan.
