Kotohira-gu is a Shinto shrine in the town of Kotohira in Nakatado District, Kagawa. Since the Muromachi period, pilgrimages to the shrine have been popular. Ritsurin Garden in Takamatsu is one of the most beautiful Japanese landscape gardens in the country.

Shodoshima
Sodoshima near Shikoku is a popular tourist spot for Japanese people, as you can enjoy some beautiful scenery, a different atmosphere with olive trees and special food products.

Naoshima
Naoshima is one of 7,000 islands located in the Seto Inland Sea. It is a small island that has only about 7.8 km2 of land, but it is a very famous island, attracting a lot of tourists because it is regarded as an art island.

Takamatsu
Takamatsu is home to Japan's largest garden, Ritsurin-Koen. Ritsurin-Koen is a fine example of landscaping, borrowing the pine-clad scenery of Shuin-zan and blending chestnut trees, lotus ponds, arching red bridges, and artificial islands.

Setouchi Triennale
While I have been to Naoshima island and Teshima island many times so far, I had somehow never been to this area during the period of a large art festival that is held every 3 years, the Setouchi Triennale. The festival is held for eight months with three main sessions, Spring, Summer, and Autumn.
